We can Help!
Thank you for looking to the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri for legal assistance or to ask a question. We are an advocacy organization dedicated to the defense of individual rights.
Who We Can Help
The ACLU protects the rights given every citizen within the Bill of Rights such as:
Need Assistance?
Apply today
- Freedom of speech
- Freedom of assembly
- Freedom against unfair search and seizure
- Freedom from cruel and unusual punishment
- Equal protection under the law
- Right to privacy
- Freedom of religion
If you feel one of these rights has been violated, the next question to ask is whether or not the violation was performed by a government or government entity (school, police, etc).
The ACLU handles only cases involving government infringement on your rights. If the violation was performed by a private company/agency, the ACLU will not be able to accept the case. We will suggest, however, other organizations that handle cases of individual rights abuses involving non-government entities. Download complaint form.
